Catholic perspectives across the general curriculum

The incorporation of a Catholic perspective into the identified priority areas of the Australian Curriculum was finalised to ensure that teaching in Brisbane Catholic Education schools is informed by a sound knowledge of the richness of Catholic tradition. Ongoing formation and online resources were provided to teachers throughout 2018 to support and embed this approach.

The commitment to the school-wide implementation of a Catholic perspective on Relationships and Sexuality Education (RSE) continued, with 89 schools now participating in this Australian first. It is expected that by the end of 2019 all schools will have implemented a Catholic perspective into Relationships and Sexuality Education, supported by a suite of resources and professional learning events.
