The Snapit Photographic Competition is an initiative organised by BCE.  Open to students from Year 7 to Year 12, the competition provides a platform to showcase your artistic talent through the medium of photography.  By participating, you can express your creativity, refine your skills and receive recognition for your work within the school community and beyond.

How to enter

  2. Speak to your parents/guardians about the competition
  3. Decide which category or categories your images fit - you can enter a maximum of 5 images
  4. Use the Snapit​ Entry Form to enter your image(s) ​
  5. Ask your parent/guardian to complete the Snapit Parent/Guardian Consent form and upload this in Question 1 of the entry form.
  6. Complete the entry form and hit submit.​

Terms and Conditions in a nutshell

Competition dates:

  • Open Date --  8:00am  Monday 4th August 2025
  • Close Date -- 4:00pm Friday 12th September 2025

Eligibility:​

  • Open to BCE secondary school students (Year 7-12).
  • Each participant can submit up to 5 entries across 4 categories.
  • Entries must be original and not violate third-party rights.

Technical Requirements:

  • High-resolution photos (max 8 MB) in JPEG or TIFF format.
  • No watermarks, signatures, or borders.
  • Minimal post-production editing by the participant.

Judging and Notification:

  • A judging panel will select winners.
  • Winners will be notified and awarded prizes.

Ownership and Licensing:

  • Participants retain copyright ownership.
  • By submitting, participants grant BCE a non-exclusive license to use the photos for marketing, publicity, and other legitimate purposes.

Submission Guidelines:

  • No personally identifiable information.
  • No offensive or inappropriate content.
  • Respect intellectual property and privacy rights.
