Highly Accomplished Teacher (HAT) Amrita Moss is ensuring that every student enrolled in FisherONE Online Education is well supported and set up for success.

FisherONE offers a growing range of senior subjects aligned with Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) standards and flexible enrolments allow students to integrate these subjects seamlessly into their base school timetables.

As Leader of Wellbeing and Engagement, Amrita's role is central to student success.

“My number one priority is to support students and help them succeed at FisherONE," Amrita said.

“Students attend one live lesson per week and complete module work during their scheduled FisherONE lesson periods. It's a model that requires students to be self-motivated and highly organised."

Amrita monitors engagement closely and works in partnership with base schools to respond to each student's unique circumstances.

Many students are the only ones in their school studying subjects like Specialist Mathematics.

“We partner with schools all across Queensland, including regional and rural communities, making the support they receive through FisherONE even more vital," Amrita said.

“Alerts from FisherONE can be an early indication that a student is struggling."

“By partnering with base schools, we can identify students at risk early and provide the right support before challenges escalate."

Every FisherONE teacher is a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert (MIEE), reflecting the team's commitment to innovation and digital excellence.

But the dedication goes beyond technology by ensuring every student has the support they need to thrive.

FisherONE Head of Campus, Megan Pidskalny said Amrita's leadership and expertise have driven several key initiatives.

“Amrita has led the development of targeted strategies to support student success, including tailored orientation programs, study skills sessions and a proactive approach to identifying disengaged learners," Megan said.

“Her focus on wellbeing and time management in an online environment has been integral in helping students feel more supported and confident in their learning."
