Quick Fixes Steps
- Check your running the latest app version - BCE Connect performs regular iterative releases. To check you are running the latest version, go to your phone's app store, search for BCE Connect, and tap Update.
- Check you've installed Google Chrome (Android Devices) - BCE Connect requires Chrome to be installed on your Android device. To install Chrome, go to your phone's app store, search for Chrome, and install.
- Check your internet connection is stable - Without internet access you will not be able to use the app. Make sure your phone's mobile data or wifi is switched on so it can connect to the internet. To confirm this is working, check your phones settings for the BCE Connect app and ensure mobile data is enabled.
- Try hard closing the BCE Connect app - Sometimes data from a previous session can be stored in BCE Connect and this can build up over time and slow things down. Please try doing a hard close on the BCE Connect app to clear your app's cache by following the steps on our video.
- Ensure your device software is up to date - Go to your device settings page and perform any software updates as required.
- Check your password autofill has your current email and/or password: Sometimes your phone saves old passwords that don't work anymore. You can turn this feature off:
- iPhone: Go to Settings > General > AutoFill & Passwords, then turn off AutoFill Passwords and Passkeys.
- Android: Go to Settings > General Management > Passwords, passkeys, and autofill, then set Preferred service to None.
- Ensure Brisbane Catholic Education is selected on the log in screen - Please make sure that 'Brisbane Catholic Education' is selected before you enter your log in details. If you don't have this selected, you could experience problems trying to log in. Please follow the steps in (4) to hard close your app and try again.
If these didn't fix your problem, please contact your school or see our frequently asked questions.
