Students & Parents

Brisbane Catholic Education believes that education is a partnership between the school and the home. It is important that both work together and that there is consistency in approach and standards.

As part of that partnership, we welcome the involvement of parents in school life. The way in which parents may contribute to their child’s education varies widely, depending on the age of the child and the skills and commitments of the parents. In primary schools, parents may be invited to take part in a range of classroom activities and excursions, as well as at events in support of the school. In secondary years, parents may be able to contribute in other ways, such as assisting in work experience placements or supporting particular co-curricular activities.

Parents may also choose to join the school’s Parents and Friends Association, to contribute to school and student development in this way.

A wide range of support mechanisms is available to families of students with special needs. We seek to work with families to develop the most appropriate pathways for each individual student.

The menu at left details a number of initiatives and opportunities. Please feel free to contact your school’s principal for further information.
