There were smiles all around as 131 graduates were honoured for their academic excellence across Brisbane Catholic Education’s (BCE) 146 schools.
The students were recognised as part of the system’s annual Student Excellence Awards for their 167 scores above 98 in their Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) General subjects.
In 2025, 1,688 BCE students also received subject scores of 90 or above.
Unity College, Caloundra Principal Brett Jones said that 16 per cent of his students had results above 95, with 26 per cent above 90, and 40 per cent above 85.
“One student, Chloe, recorded five results of 98 or higher, including a perfect score of 100, an extraordinary reflection of commitment and consistency,” he said.
“Over the years we have seen a steady climb in student results, which can be attributed to our deliberate focus on personalised support, student voice and preparing young people to manage themselves as confident, independent learners.”
