All Saints Boonah celebrates growth in student confidence following impressive NAPLAN results

At All Saints’ School, Boonah, recent NAPLAN results are being celebrated not only for the learning growth they show, but for the confidence and engagement they reflect in students across the school. 
 
Principal Robert Campbell said while the results are a source of pride, the greatest achievement has been seeing students take greater ownership of their learning, build confidence as readers and writers, and embrace increasingly complex learning challenges. 
 
“Our literacy success has not happened by chance. It is the result of our teachers’ commitment to continually refining their practice and delivering engaging, high-quality lessons for every student,” he said.  
 
“It is also driven by the strategic use of teacher aides in every classroom, supported by extensive professional learning, ensuring they have the skills and expertise to provide targeted support so that no child is left behind.

“Our teachers also work closely together to analyse student progress, share effective teaching practices, and use assessment data to identify where students are excelling and where additional support is needed.

“That ongoing cycle of reflection and improvement ensures every student receives the right support at the right time.” 

At All Saints’ Boonah, 2026 NAPLAN results released this month show students are making significant progress across all assessed areas, with particularly impressive growth in Literacy and Numeracy. Year 3 and Year 5 students recorded outstanding gains in Reading, Writing, and Spelling.

Principal Robert Campbell said the results highlighted a sustained pattern of improvement, with students building on previous NAPLAN achievements and demonstrating consistent learning growth.

"The cohort that commenced Year 3 in 2024 demonstrated substantial growth by Year 5 in 2026, with the proportion of students achieving in the Strong and Exceeding proficiency bands increasing significantly across all key learning areas. Reading and Numeracy recorded the strongest gains, increasing by more than 42 percentage points,” he said. 
 
“This demonstrates that students are not only maintaining progress but accelerating their achievement as they move through the school. 

"Our Year 3 results also show that students are developing strong foundational skills across literacy and numeracy. We are seeing positive shifts in achievement, including more students performing in the Strong and Exceeding proficiency bands than previous Year 3 cohorts, and a reduction in the number of students requiring additional support in the early years.”
