Brisbane Catholic Education's (BCE) more than 4,000 Year 12 students are ready to put years of learning to the test as they begin their final external examination period (26 October to 17 November).
Among them is Saint Mary's Catholic College, Kingaroy Year 12 student Con, who said he felt well prepared heading into the exam block.
"I've worked hard throughout the year to prepare for my external exams, and I'm feeling confident about the weeks ahead," he said.
"Our teachers have provided amazing support throughout the year, and I couldn't have done it without them.
“After all the hard work that's gone into this year, I'm really looking forward to finishing my exams and celebrating graduation with my family, friends and fellow students.”

Saint Mary’s Catholic College Principal Carmel O’Brien said BCE's graduating students should approach the coming weeks with confidence, knowing they were supported by their families, teachers, classmates, and wider school and BCE community.
"We are immensely proud of everything they have achieved and the young people they have become,” she said.
"I encourage our students to trust in the preparation they have undertaken and believe in their own abilities.
"The learning that has taken place throughout their schooling extends far beyond examination results.
“The critical thinking, problem solving, communication, collaboration and resilience they have developed will help shape their futures, whether they pursue further study, training, employment or service to their communities.
"I hope that every student leaves school with a lifelong love of learning, a willingness to embrace new opportunities and the confidence to make a positive difference in the world."
A bright future awaits
BCE Head of Student Learning and Wellbeing Trudi Lucas said there was no single definition of success.
"Across our 146 schools we celebrate all pathways and all forms of excellence," she said.
“I know our graduates will continue to be people of faith, hope, and compassion, and use their gifts and talents to contribute positively to society and respond to the needs of others.
"While we pursue and value academic excellence, and recognise the significance of ATAR and examination outcomes, success is ultimately broader than a single score or one particular pathway.
“Success is about continuing to learn, grow, and contribute with purpose wherever life takes you.
“As students complete their final exams and prepare to finish school on Friday 20 November, BCE thanks the parents, caregivers, teachers and staff who have supported them throughout their educational journey.”
Saint Mary’s Catholic College Principal Carmel O’Brien’s top tips for a successful exam period:
Trust your preparation – Believe in the work you have already done. Focus on what you know rather than worrying about what you don't.
Prioritise sleep – A well-rested mind performs better than a tired one. Aim for a consistent sleep routine, especially in the days leading up to an exam.
Fuel your body – Eat nutritious meals, stay hydrated and avoid relying on excessive caffeine or energy drinks.
Study smart – Break your study into manageable sessions, take regular breaks and focus on understanding key concepts rather than trying to memorise everything at once.
Keep active – Even a short walk or some light exercise can help reduce stress, improve concentration and boost your mood.
Look after your wellbeing – Take time to relax, connect with friends and family, and do activities that help you feel calm and focused.
Stay organised – Know your exam timetable, prepare your materials the night before and arrive with plenty of time to spare.
Focus on effort, not perfection – Do your best and be proud of your hard work. One exam does not define who you are or what you can achieve.
Keep positive – Remember that your worth is not measured by a mark or grade. Every challenge is an opportunity to learn and grow.
Ask for help when you need it – Teachers, parents and carers are here to support you. Don't be afraid to reach out if you're feeling overwhelmed or need clarification.
Reminder
QCE results will be released through the myQCE student portal from 9am on Wednesday 16 December, giving students and their families the opportunity to celebrate the culmination of years of commitment, perseverance and learning.
