In 2018, Brisbane Catholic Education received an income of $1,187.1 million, of which $1,018.1 million was recurrent funding. The main source of this income was Australian and Queensland Government grants for the provision of educational services.

Expenses
Brisbane Catholic Education’s total expenses for 2018 were $1,181.9 million, of which $1,011.7 million was recurrent funding.
During 2018, expenses included:
School direct staffing costs
Capital payments
School resourcing and educational support services
Other expenditure*
*such as administration, insurance, maintenance and utilities.
As a result, Brisbane Catholic Education achieved an operating surplus of $5.2 million in 2018.
