In 2021, we will welcome two new co-educational secondary colleges to our network of 142 south-east Queensland archdiocesan schools.
Sophia College in Plainland and
San Damiano College in Yarrabilba will open with three classes of Year 7 students before growing by one-year level until their first cohort of Year 12 students graduate in 2026.

The identification and location of new schools and colleges is incorporated within a strategic planning program employed by Brisbane Catholic Education. This program draws upon local and state government policies and initiatives which impact on population growth, settlement patterns, infrastructure and land development across the Archdiocese. The values of our schools draw upon the richness and wisdom of Catholic tradition. We welcome all who share or seek these same values for their children.
