St Joseph’s School Bardon Netball Club has proudly celebrated a remarkable achievement at the Primary Schools Cup, held at Underwood Park Netball Association and hosted by Netball Queensland on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 September.

Competing in the Championship Division, the top tier of the competition, the St Joseph’s team finished as Runner-Up, an outstanding result in a carnival that featured 84 teams from 55 schools across Queensland.

The team played four pool games on Saturday and remained undefeated throughout the day, demonstrating exceptional skill, teamwork, and determination.

On Sunday, the top six teams faced off in the finals. St Joseph’s placed second overall, earning a spot in the grand final against Marymount College, a much larger school with over 1,700 primary students. In a thrilling match, St Joseph’s narrowly missed out on the title, losing by just three goals.

This result stands as one of the most impressive performances by St Joseph’s Bardon in the Primary Schools Cup, and a testament to the talent and spirit of the team.

“Jo and I were extremely proud of the girls – they played some great netball, and it was lovely to see them having the experience together in their final year at St Joseph’s,” said President of the St Joseph’s Bardon Netball Club Sarah.

Special recognition goes to Jo, the team’s dedicated Coach, whose leadership and support were instrumental throughout the carnival.

Congratulations to all players, coaches, and supporters. You’ve made St Joseph’s Bardon, and yourselves, incredibly proud!
