FisherONE has reached a significant milestone in digital education leadership, with Assistant Principal – Pedagogy and Innovation, Jennifer Knight, being named a Microsoft Innovative Educator (MIE) Fellow.

Joining an elite group of just 18 Fellows across Australia, including Christopher Philpot and Bethany Wass from BCE, MIE Fellows are distinguished leaders within the global Microsoft education network.

Jennifer said she was honoured to be globally recognised for her contribution to mentoring, coaching, and driving innovation across the education sector.

“FisherONE connects students across Queensland to quality education, ensuring all students can access specialist subjects wherever they live,” Jennifer said.

“It’s incredibly exciting to be in a role where I can support students to thrive through the use of cutting-edge technology and future-focused learning.”

Every teacher at FisherONE is a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert (MIEE) reflecting the breadth of innovation, dedication, and digital excellence across the team.

“It’s a privilege to work alongside such an innovative team of teachers who are committed to transforming learning and inspiring excellence every day.”

In addition to this individual recognition, FisherONE has been named a Microsoft Showcase School 2025 to 2026 for the third year in a row.

FisherONE Head of Campus, Megan Pidskalny said only nine schools nationally were awarded this honour for creating student-centred, inclusive, and future-ready learning environments.

“We are so proud of this achievement that places FisherONE among a global innovative community of educators committed to using technology to transform learning and teaching,” Megan said.

“Being named again as a Microsoft Showcase School for 2025 to 2026 demonstrates our commitment to actively shaping the future of online education and equipping our students with essential future-ready skills.”
