Jane Egan says she’s loving school life at Emmaus College Jimboomba – her first role as a Principal in a Prep to Year 12 school.

“Coming from the secondary school sector, the Prep to Year 6 cohorts add a whole new dimension to my life,” she says.

“There simply is nothing more invigorating or humbling than walking into school each day and being greeted by the Prep students who are engaged and joyful learners.

“It is the icing on the cake for my career.”

Jane says that there are “few jobs in the world where every day you can have such an impact and influence on a person’s life, and Principalship is one of them.”

“In my role, I hope to continue to bring foresight, empathy, and stewardship to our school community,” she added.

“I also want to build on the excellent and established foundations in Learning and Teaching at the College.

“I am passionate about teams working together, acknowledging and using each other's strengths and talents, and allowing and encouraging individuality.”

The Principal says she loves “getting out and about with the students” on school grounds.

“I know they would say I am present on the playground,” she says.

“I am approachable, and I am always ready for a good conversation with the staff and students.”
