Please join us in congratulating Seton College Mount Gravatt art teacher, Julie Whitehouse, for her extraordinary win at this week's Independent Education Union – Queensland and Northern Territory (IEU-QNT) Excellence in Art Design Awards.

After encouraging her students to submit their artistic pieces, they returned the favour and suggested she too should enter.

The awards, which were held at the Queensland Multicultural Centre, attracted over 800 entries from students and teachers across Queensland and Northern Territory's independent education sector, with entrants all submitting artwork with a theme of 'New Beginnings.'

Julie was awarded the winner of the 'open' category for her artwork, “Drought Fire Flood Renew, Drought Fire Flood Renew".

This is the third time Julie has entered these awards, and the second time she has won. Seton College couldn't be prouder.
