Clairvaux MacKillop College Upper Mount Gravatt is seeing double as students celebrated their final day of Year 12 on Thursday 17 October 2025.

The College marked a unique milestone with five sets of twins graduating alongside their classmates, all walking out of the school gates for the very last time.

Twins Tim and Ben, Olivia and Madeline, and Henry and Jeffrey also took part in a special photoshoot to commemorate their memorable graduation day.

Clairvaux MacKillop College Principal Wayne Chapman said in his 30 years of education, “I’ve never seen anything like it—five sets of twins graduating together is truly remarkable and a first in our College history”.

"The twins have shown an incredible level of support for each other throughout their schooling,” he said.

“It’s been amazing to watch them work together, not just as siblings, but as teammates, always helping one another and lifting each other up.”

Clairvaux Mackillop College Year 12 graduate Tim said, “people often ask what it’s like to share everything with a twin, but for us, it’s normal”.

“Having a twin has been an advantage—we study together, remind each other of things, and support each other,” he said.

“After graduation, I hope to go to the Queensland University of Technology to study a Bachelor of Justice majoring in criminology.

“While my twin Ben is considering a career as a police officer.”

Influenced by their own teachers, twins Olivia and Madeline agree they would both follow their dreams of becoming educators after graduation.

Henry has set his sights on the Australian National University (ANU), where he will study Health Science. Jeffrey, his twin, is also moving to Canberra for ANU and will pursue a career in actuarial science, with a passion for working in finance and risk assessment.

Principal Wayne said watching this group walk out together for the last time will be an emotional moment for everyone.

"Although these students are twins, each has their own strengths, dreams, and talents,” he said.

“We are proud of all our Year 12 graduates and the unique paths they are about to take in life.”
