As she embarks on her journey into this new role – and as we celebrate Catholic Education Week (21 to 27 July) - Lisa carries with her a dedication to making a meaningful impact on the lives of her students, leading with compassion, honesty, and integrity.
Lisa said she sees her position not merely as a job but as a calling rooted in the values and principles upheld by Catholic education.
“I recognise that the wellbeing of individuals within the school community is vital to fostering an environment where genuine learning flourishes, nurturing not only academic success but also the holistic development of each of my students,” she said.
“I am enjoying getting to know the new students, staff, and families and creating meaningful connections with them.
“Catholic school leadership is a privilege, and I feel blessed to join and serve the Emmaus College community.”
Lisa said she aims to create opportunities for her students to “encounter faith and become compassionate people who are loving and hope filled”.
“I look forward to creating opportunities for my students to make a difference in their world,” she said.
“I want them to know together, we can create a better future for all.”
As a local to the Jimboomba region, Lisa sees her new position as a way to give back to the community she calls home.
“Jimboomba is a lovely place to raise a family, and I look forward to giving back to such a vibrant and community-focused school,” she said.
“I enjoy the challenges and rewards of leading and influencing a school community to work harmoniously in pursuit of a common mission.
“In this role, I am contributing to Emmaus College’s rich history and traditions and adding to the College story.”

About Catholic Education Week:
Celebrated annually in week 3 of Term 3, Catholic Education Week is an opportunity for all 312 Catholic schools in Queensland to celebrate and promote their distinctive mission and ethos.
Catholic education strives to make a difference in the lives of those in our schools and the wider community by challenging young people to live out the message of Jesus and to reach their full potential as compassionate, contributing, life-giving members of society.
