​NAPLAN success for Our Lady of Good Counsel Gatton 

Students and parents of Our Lady of Good Counsel School Gatton are celebrating as they head into the Easter break, after the Catholic school reached new heights in its recent NAPLAN results. 

The Brisbane Catholic Education school was listed in the top 10 most improved Catholic Schools in Queensland. 

Our Lady of Good Counsel School Gatton Principal Nathan Haley said he is thrilled with how students improved their performances across the board. 

“Being in the top 10 most improved Catholic Schools in Queensland is a huge accomplishment and we are so delighted to see our students improving in leaps and bounds over the last few years," Mr Haley said. 

“It is so rewarding to see some of our youngest students excelling against the Queensland average in all areas and working hard to do their best along with others across the state. 

“Our students showed progress well above average, and this growth was something we are all really proud of as a learning community. 

“Our students are some of the hardest workers I've ever seen in my teaching years. 

“Every day they show up and do their best in the classroom and show our teachers what great learners they can be."
