It’s an Italian day, with a twist!

From Lamborghinis and Ferraris to pizza and gelato, Jubilee Primary School, Pacific Pines transformed into a mini-Italy as part of their school’s Italian Day celebrations (Friday 17th October).

Jubilee Primary School Acting Principal, Lee Meiklejohn said, “learning Italian has never been so turbo-charged!”

“A parade of luxury Italian cars and motorbikes was on display for students to take photos with,” she said.

“There was the best of Italian cuisine and delicacies aplenty, with an Italian inspired art gallery showcasing student creations.

“The whole school community also dressed up in an Italian inspired theme.

“One student even dressed up as their favourite artist Michelangelo.”

Lee adds, “the day is a fantastic way to get students to experience language in action”.

“When learning comes alive through food, music and art, it has a lasting impact,” she said.

“Not only this, but it’s an event that blends both fun and learning, creating lasting memories for our students.

“Italian Day gets bigger and better every year and is the jewel in the crown for our school’s outstanding Italian Language programme that we have on offer here at Jubilee Primary School.”

Jubilee Primary School Italian Day has been showcasing their Italian Day since 2019.
