After 26 years as a Principal across six different schools, Principal Peter Pashen has returned to lead the school that he attended himself as a child - St Martin’s School Carina.
“I went to school St Martin’s between 1970 and 1972 and grew up in the Parish of Our Lady of Graces,” he says.
“This appointment as Principal has a real feeling of coming home for me - it is very special.
“I feel very honoured to be working at the school where my schooling journey first began.”
Peter says he felt inspired to become a Principal so he could make an impact in the lives of his students.
“I felt compelled to make a difference beyond the classroom,” he says.
“As a Principal, you can build a strong community and empower others, something I am extremely passionate about.”
Peter says in Term 2 he will continue to build a faith-filled school community.
“It is important to talk about our faith on a regular basis,” he says.
“The example Jesus gave us is second to none.
“Through Jesus’ acts, we know how to be a good leader, serve others, be kind, show strength of character, be a role model, and include others.
“I also look forward to deepening my connections with my staff, students, and parents.”
