The time has come for many of Brisbane Catholic Education’s (BCE) 3800 Year 12 students to put their study efforts into action.

As thousands embark on their final exams, BCE and their school communities are wishing them well, and supporting them in every way they can. Some schools will host breakfast sessions and provide exam packs full of healthy goodies and stationery essentials.

BCE Head of Education Marisa Dann said BCE prepares students all year round for important exams, such as ATAR.

“We focus on creating assessment-capable learners, so students feel prepared and confident in exam and testing environments when the time comes,” she said.

Ms Dann described it as “an exciting time of year for our Year 12 students, who are so close to graduation.

“My message to our students is; to breathe, trust yourself and the skills you have developed to do your very best," she said.

You have given this year your all, working hard and contributing to your school communities in so many important ways.

“And though you’ve faced some adversity during your senior years, some of this due to COVID-19, you’ve demonstrated great resilience.

“Now is the time to use the knowledge and skills you’ve learned throughout your schooling to finish on a high note.

“I know each of you will do your personal best, as well as cheering on and supporting the other members of your Year 12 cohort.

“Your genuine and diligent efforts will be rewarding and satisfying, and you will make BCE and our community of schools proud.”

Ms Dann went on to send a message of thanks to her teaching peers and students’ families.

“I would like to thank all BCE teachers and staff who have helped our Year 12 students, showing leadership and genuine care to our graduating students throughout their senior years,” she said.

“Thanks to our community of parents and caregivers who have supported our Year 12 students.

“I hope you enjoy celebrating with these impressive young people as they graduate at the end of the year.”

In 2022, BCE has 36 schools educating students in Year 12, including senior schools and Prep to Year 12 schools.  In those schools, there are students enrolled in 43 of the 49 senior subjects on offer.
